First time Dog-sledding
Looking for the great outdoors and a nature activity in the company of an animal?
Discover an introduction to driving with magnificent sled dogs.
In 10 to 15 minutes, a qualified instructor will explain to you the essential basics of driving, and then you'll start the initiation with your own sled under the instructor's supervision. Throughout the ride, the instructor will give you all the information you need to get the most out of your sled.
You'll learn about the pack, their characters and how to position the dogs in the harness, but the highlight is sharing the effort with them. Braking downhill, positioning your body for bends and inclines, helping them up the hill, and finally letting yourself be pulled along on the flat. Discovering the mountains with your own carriage, getting a feel for nature, sharing the effort, respecting the environment - these are the values that really come into their own.
The activity starts at Les Molliets between Flaine and Les Carroz d'Arâches.
The journey from your starting point is at your own expense. You can park your car directly in the Les Molliets car park and drive to the start of the pistes, not far from the Tête des Saix chairlift. As far as your vehicle is concerned, we strongly recommend that you have the right equipment for winter conditions.
Full ski clothing is required, as well as a ski mask or sunglasses depending on the weather. You'll also need snow boots or après-ski boots. There is no minimum number of people required to take part in this activity, as you will be added directly to a group that has already been formed.
Supervised by a qualified instructor. Minimum age 10 years depending on size: for children under 10 years, they will ride directly on the instructor's sled for insurance and safety reasons.
