At 1,844 metres (6 050 ft), the Col de Pierre Carrée is the highest Nordic ski area in the French Alps to pratice nordic sports, with the most snow cover.
The nordic area is accessible from the resort by free shuttles (excluding December 2020 holidays). They circulate daily between Flaine Forêt, le Hameau de Flaine and the site of Col de Pierre Carrée.
Whilst it originated in Scandinavian countries, cross-country skiing can be enjoyed by all ages and all levels, whether you want to take it easy or notch up the miles. Flaine’s Nordic ski area is the perfect setting for this sport, with a 2.5km marked blue trail welcoming both skating and classic style cross-country skiers. Switch off and enjoy a total change of scenery!
If you like to run and fancy a new challenge, why not give the «all terrain» version a go this winter? A combination of running, discovery and adventure, trail running on snow is just the thing for you!
