The resort of Flaine offers all the nuances of possible playgrounds: ideal for beginners or improving your level of skiing, come and marvel at our snowy landscapes!

Here is our selection of must-see spots in Flaine! It's up to you to discover them during your stay!

 

       1. The essential trails

Green: Mélèze. This green run is located in the heart of the beginner sector.

Blue: Serpentine. The great blue of the Platières, 7 km of sliding which offers a breathtaking panorama.

Red: Faust. The reference red on the resort of Flaine.

Black: La combe de Gers. A fabulous marked and ungroomed area awaits freeride enthusiasts.

       2. Art & architecture

Classified and unclassifiable! Between art, design and architecture, the resort of Flaine is a real open-air museum of modern art. Discover the rich history of this exceptional resort!

       3. Free tracks for beginners

With its 4 free ski lifts: 3 covered carpets of the Pré, Michalet and Bissac as well as the télébenne. In addition to all these free facilities, there are 3 dedicated areas. Start on the protected areas of Le Pré or Le Bissac and then go on with the beginner's pass to the green slopes by taking the Ballacha ski lift!

 

       4. Ungroomed and secured freeride areas

The mountain is a space of freedom, and freeriding provides much sought-after sensations. The Grand Massif ski area has 5 ungroomed and secured black runs.

 

       5. The view of the Mont Blanc

At 2,500m at the top of the Grandes Platières, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the landscape: a 360° view of the Mont-Blanc, Aravis, Belledone and Jura massifs.

       6. Six shows of 110 drones

Holiday highlight: Lighted drone shows on December 27th, 2023, January 3rd, February 14th & 21th & 28th and March 6th 2024.

Equipped with high-powered LEDs, the drones illuminate the sky, creating different scenes in a surprising show that is both magical and ecological.

       7. The trail "les cascades": 14 km

Imagine going down the 14 km blue run on the edge of the Sixt-fer-à-Cheval nature reserve, without ever seeing a single ski lift!

The departure is from the top of the Grandes Platières and ends at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval where a free shuttle bus takes you to the Grand Massif Express in Samoëns or to the Morillon gondola, and then on to Flaine via the pistes.

Allow about 3 hours round trip. Grand Massif ski pass required.

 

       8. The fun zones of Flaine

Urban'z:

A secured area on the green larch piste, dedicated to kids and beginners, with modules and jumps! New : big air bag (Tuesday to Sunday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, weather permitting. 1 jump 3€, 2 jumps 5€, 5 jumps 10€, 10 jumps 15€.). Access: Ballacha ski lift.

Ze Fun Slope:

A fun zone, on the blue Tourmaline piste, with modules and jumps!
Access : Grands Vans Chairlift.

       9. The Nordic area of the Col de Pierre Carrée

At an altitude of 1,844 m, overlooking the Arve valley and the resort of Flaine, the Col de Pierre Carrée offers the highest and snowiest Nordic area in the Alps.
