Flaine and health pass

Flaine tourist office, accommodations, ski area, activity providers and the various shops in the resort are preparing their openings for the winter season, in accordance with government directives.

We are all very impatient to see you again, and are working to welcome you to our ski resort in Flaine!

Each providers in the resort (tourist office, accommodation providers, activity providers, shops, etc.) worked on reception conditions specific to their establishment and in accordance with national directives: masks, hydro-alcoholic gel, distances safety requirements, regular cleaning, etc...

Traveling to France

From December 4th, any person aged 12 or more has to provide the result of a negative PCR or antigen test carried out less than 24 or 48 hours prior to departure, in order to enter France.

As of January 15th, 2022, people over the age of 18 will have to provide proof of a booster vaccination, 7 months after their last injection or infection, in order for their "health pass" to be extended.

From February 15th, 2022, the period of validity of the vaccine certificate without booster injection will increase to 4 months instead of 7 months.

Access to lifts

In accordance with the new applicable regulations, from January 24th, 2022, we distinguish 2 types of COVID pass: the HEALTH pass and the VACCINE pass.
The health protocol may need to evolve according to government directives.

What is the HEALTH pass?
- It concerns all people aged over 12 years and 2 months and under 16 years.
- It consists of the presentation, in the form of a QR Code, digital or paper, of health proof, among the following:

  • Complete vaccination.
  • Proof of PCR or antigen test negatif less than 24 hours old.

What is the VACCINE pass?
- It concerns all people aged 16 and over.
- It consists of the presentation, in the form of a QR Code, digital or paper, of health proof, among the following:

  • Complete vaccination.
  • Committed vaccination schema: an exemption allowing the use of a negative test certificate of less than 24 hours as part of the "vaccine pass" will be possible until February 15th for people who have received their first dose of vaccine by then, in waiting for their second dose.


Where do I need a valid COVID pass?
- On ski area, you must have a valid COVID pass for:
Take all the ski lifts (even free ones).
Access to altitude restaurants (including terraces).

- Verifications will be carried out:
At ski pass points of sale.
At the departures of the ski lifts.
At the start of ski lessons.
At the entrance to mountain restaurants.
Access will only be allowed if you have a valid COVID pass.

For foreign holidaymakers :

Recognized QR-Codes for health pass are those issued in the European Union and in the countries following: United Kingdom, Israel, Switzerland, Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey, Norway, Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Faeroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia North, Moldavia, Morocco, Monaco, New Zealand, Panama, San Marino, or the Vatican.

• Nationals of other countries must have their health pass validated by going, with a valid passport and the local vaccination certificate in paper, in an authorized French pharmacy (Flaine pharmacy is authorized) once they have been vaccinated with vaccines recognized by the EU.

• This procedure may be chargeable (maximum €36)

Wearing a mask (surgical or category 1 fabric) is compulsory from 11 years old (recommended from 6 years old) in the resort, by municipal decree: Flaine Forum, Flaine Forêt shopping centre and the lifts connecting this 2 levels.

    From January 10th to February 4th, 2022 - 7 days a week - from 8:30 am to 10am and from 5 pm to 6.30pm.
    From February 5th to March 6th, 2022 - 7 days a week - from 7:30 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
